Snow Day!!!

Yes, that's right, yesterday Gordon had a snow day. I had been hoping and praying all Tuesday night that they would cancel classes. My homework had been too much too finish that night and I was going to have to squeeze it in between working in the writing center and classes the next day. Unfortunately they didn't feel the need to let everyone know until 6 am Wednesday morning, but I was too happy to care at that point. After sleeping in until a wonderfully late hour, Ali and I decided to take a walk in the woods. We ended up tramping about and talking for about an hour and a half. By that time we were hot and thirsty and worn out. We watched the afternoon slip by while alternating between homework and goofing off. To end our awesome snow day, we ordered Chinese and watched a Mary-Kate and Ashley movie (probably not your idea of fun, but we giggled hysterically at the bad acting and shallowness of it all). Here are some picture of our snowy walk.

Before Ali and I desecrated its snowy purity

After...

Coy Pond

Ali got great entertainment out of watching me climb over this snow and ice covered log and slip on my butt

Made it over with only minor bruising, but a lot more wet spots than before

All bundled up

Found another one of the ponds buried in obscurity behind our college. That was as far as we went for the day.

Enjoying the silence

Friend and roommates, my Ali and I

We stopped by Gull Pond on the way back and there was a big hole in the middle.

No Lifeguard on duty
Swim at your own risk

So we did :)

Being goofy

Ali is a much better swimmer than me

Snow Angel

This adorable Lab puppy came zooming in out of no where. I had to warn Ali to sit up before she got trampled. He zoomed away just as fast and we saw him and his owner on our way back to campus.

Summary of Last Semester

Yes, Amazingly this blog isn't dead yet. It has taken me a while since coming back to gather these, but here is a summary in pictures of the second half of last semester and a few from this one. There will be more posts soon to follow this one; I promise! Thank you for being patient!

Getting ready to hike North Pack with the Fentons

I had a lot less trouble than I expected to, thankfully.

Look at those views!

A nice shot of Lee's butt right there. I'm sure he'll appreciate that.

My lovely friend, Katrina.

A mother and her daughters :)

Wow....

Katrina taking marvelous pictures as always.

Taking a break before heading back down.

I always end up with the weirdest pictures of Lee...

Ali, Steph, and I threw in impromptu birthday party for our friend Laura one Friday night.

This is how college students make cakes: take one box of cake mix, add a can of soda, and bake. Believe it or not, it actually works perfectly and tastes about the same. Birthday on a budget.

Mom and I went to visit Uncle Bruce in Boston over quad break. We got to walk around for a couple hours before he had to be at the airport.

I had my first raw oysters there.

Holocaust memorial

Part of my floor decided to go into Boston for the day. Typical Lyndsi pose right there. I have at least three other photos exactly the same from previous trips to Boston.

Emily B.: "Don't even think about it!"

Waiting for the T

Cute face Emily :)

Dinner at Fire and Ice in Harvard Square. One of my favorite restaurants.

Hanging in the Gap.
(me, Nicole, Chelsea, Sarah, Bethany, Stephanie)

Me and my wonderful RA. This picture is way more flattering of you Nicole.

On the Commons for the tree lighting.

Faneuil Hall all lit up.

Steph and Ali wanted their picture taken with the Santa Clause who was in the bar by Faneuil Hall. I was surprised they let us in. I was going to take the picture but the guy who let us in told me to go over there too. We left laughing because Santa was quite drunk.

This is JoAnna and I all dressed up to go see the Nutcracker. It was incredible!

Random picture of me wearing all my birthday presents from Mom. :)

Now we're on to this semester. This is after one of bunch of big snowstorms we had.

The path outside my room.

The corner of my old dorm on my way to Lane.

Isn't Gordon beautiful when it snows?
